About The Project Guru

Who is the "Guru"?

Well hello! I'm Kyle, all I've ever known is the construction industry. I am Edinburgh based, I was born in 1986, my father has been in the construction industry since he was a child and it only felt right I followed suit. I am a father of 2, I have a boy and a little girl. I am married to my beautiful wife Danielle. That's my life all in a few sentences.

Read below to find out more about how I became "The Project Guru"

Back Ground

My father, Des started as a bricklayer when he had just left school. Funny story to that, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do but was at a bus stop pondering his future, until he saw bricklayers working on a building site. Buses went by and he continued to watch, eventually being asked if he liked it and was sent to see the site manager, eventually owning a business of over 300 staff. For me, from a young age my father took me to sites with him. I got involved in working on large commercial sites and domestic sites from 10 years old at weekends. It only grew from there, to a young teen who helped his father read drawings and quote for work. He taught me everything I know. When I was old enough I joined my father and helped him run his business. When I was 27 I was injured in an accident, while I recovered I used the time to study and further my qualifications and knowledge within the construction industry.

Over the Course of my career I have studied for various qualifications, below is a brief list of the main ones -

I have worked on standard level construction and high end projects, delivering the highest of standards.
