Excavation inspection is a check on your houses base. we will check the morning of your concrete pour to ensure that the excavation has been done correctly, no water or debris falling in and that any steel works have been formed correctly.
This will help reduce risk of subsidence and other issues.
Substructure inspection is carried out when the foundation has been built to slab height. We check that the drainage and ducting has been formed correctly, tested and the build up is correct. This will prevent issues with drainage down the line and any movement under the concrete slab.
Pre Slab inspection is to prevent issues in your slab, such as cracking and movement. We check that the insulation has been done correctly and the DPM has been installed. we return when the steel works has been formed prior to concrete pour to ensure it has been laid correctly with no damages to the DPM.
Timber kit inspection, where we inspect the timber kits structure, the panel fixings, square of the timber kit ensuring your rooms are square. During this inspection we will also check that the fire stops are fitted with DPC, building paper is damage free and ready for the superstructure brick/work work to start. Penetrations are checked to ensure fire stopping has been fitted.
During this inspection we inspect the roof to the details and specifications. Fixings are correct to tiles, gutters installed and ridges are installed. Soffits are built ready for superstructure brick / block work to start.
Half height inspection is to ensure that the brickwork is correctly formed and to check that the cavities are correct and clear. At this point we will also check that the lintels are installed. Doing this will prevent any issues with lintel bearing, damp (due to closed cavities) and missing structural.
Full Height inspection - To check that there is no obvious bumps or imperfections on the block or brick works, no gaps to windows, finish is level and plumb (within tolerance).
Pre plaster inspection is rather detailed, we check insulation, wiring and plumbing is installed correctly. We check that there has been no damages to the internal of the kit and that the building is ready to be plaster boarded. This stage is important as when you plaster you cant see behind and its now costly if you have to fix any issues that can occur.
This is effectively a safety and check if liveable inspection. We will check basics of functionality and ensure that you can move into your home. This is not a snagging report.
we do offer Quality inspection reports (also known as Snagging reports) please see below link for more information.
